Brief History

The building which is now the Ambrosia has been home to a number of establishments. It was first opened as a Fish and Chips a few decades earlier before eventually being converted into the 'Cat's Whiskers' Cafe in the 1980s. In 1988 the property was bought by Mr and Mrs Lee: it underwent a major refurbishment and remains in that state to the present day as host to Cantonese and Peking cuisine.  It's convenient location at the heart of Loggerheads attracts many people who may be traveling along the A53 to stop over for food. Many return. We enjoy the custom of  food enthusiasts from all over the country, and our annual Chinese New Year celebrations have become well-known in Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Today the restaurant continues to flourish with over a hundred top quality dishes on offer.

Staff

The Ambrosia is a family-run business founded by Mr Lee and managed by Mrs Lee. It has employed chefs, experienced in Chinese cuisine, for at least 14 years. All chefs have rigorous standards for every dish they produce. We take pride in training most waiting-on staff from scratch. Working at the Ambrosia represents an excellent opportunity for the local community. Many of whom gain valuable experience in providing high standards of service to customers.
